Tai Po Waterfront Park, Hong Kong
The waterfront park is a major parkland with an area of 25 hectares in the north east New Territories of Hong Kong. The Park offers a range of places and spaces for recreation that service nearby housing estates and that are linked to a wider network of open spaces and bicycle pathways.
The projects aims included a contemporary and sustainable approach to landscape and buildings. The centerpiece of the park is the lookout tower with a spiral ramp constructed from steel and laminated timber sourced from renewable forests in New Zealand.
