Chirnside Park Activity Centre Masterplan

The activity centre masterplan was prepared to test some earlier work outlined in the Council’s Structure Plan and to provide further detail for key opportunities for private development and public spaces. Through a series of overlay analysis maps, cross sections and built form modeling, the report established 10 key principles for development. The future development was around the existing shopping centre and land that was marked for zone change from industrial to a more mixed use outcome. Centre to the masterplan was the identification of a new ‘High Street’ with bus interchange and wide north facing footpaths and a one hectare public park.
